You may notice that our site looks a bit different today. That’s because we’ve donated it to the #EndIt Movement.
The End It movement (in addition to being a great social media and grassroots campaign) is a coalition that supports several agencies all working to end human trafficking. On February 23, they encourage everyone to change their social media profiles to a red x, to wear a red x on their hand, and to be intentional about raising awareness and donations to end trafficking permanently. Why is this such a large undertaking? It is estimated that 20-40 million people are trapped in sex slavery. 1 in 5 of those are children.
What can you do about this?
Today, change your social media profile photos to a red x and link to the #EndIt movement. You can also donate your site like we did, here.
Donate to a freedom organization
There are several amazing organizations that work towards ending human trafficking. Places like A21, IJM, Freedom 4/24 (just to name a few) are doing great things to end slavery. Make a financial donation to help them work towards ending human trafficking.
You can also help end human trafficking by sponsoring a child to ensure they do not get sold or trafficked into slavery, or trafficked into pimping. Compassion and World Help are two great organizations to look into.
Freedom 4/24 lets you purchase a prostitutes freedom for 24 hours. That is the cost to “have them” for the night. For many, this is the only rest they receive.
